On average the rainforest reseavies about 200 centimeters a year. For this to happen it must rain at least an inch each day! There are many reasons that rainforest get more rain than anywhere else in the world. For one it is humid every day causing the vapor in the air to become rain. Another reason for this is solar radiation is strongest near the equator and considering the Madagascar Rainforest is about 1, 311 miles north of the equator it makes sense the it would rain a lot. Another reason is the fact that the equator is mostly covered by water so a large amount of water is evaporated. There are many more reason but these are the main reasons for consistant rainfall in the rainforest.
